ABOUT JULES

Jules trained at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester in vocal and opera studies (BMus) and spent the beginning of her career in the classical world. Having always loved soul music from childhood, she delved more in to jazz whilst at music college, singing with the RNCM Big Band and joining the Manchester Sing Out Choir, with whom she had her first professional session, backing Gorillaz in their ‘Demon Days’ residency at Manchester Opera House.

In 2007, she moved to London and released her first EP of original songs, having made the cross-over in to soul, gospel and pop music. From here, she sang in studio sessions for the X Factor, BGT, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Nicole Scherzinger among others.  In 2011, Get Gospel was formed, leading Jules to write and perform in adverts for Dr. Oetker (GBBO), Pilgrim’s Choice, Canva, ESPN, T-Mobile and TK Maxx as well as write original songs for charities, arrange and compose for film trailers and music libraries. Together, Get Gospel have performed on BBC 1 (Songs of Praise and the One Show), BBC 1Xtra, BBC London, BBC Berkshire, Coke TV and the Calais Sessions. Listen to Get Gospel on Spotify.

Jules has sung backing vocals for Foals (Jools Holland, Radio 1 Live Lounge), Michael Ball and Alfie Boe, JP Cooper and choir vocals for Keane, Beverley Knight, Aled Jones, Paul Carrack, Songs of Praise and more. Having released four EPs and one full length album, Jules’ original music has been heard and seen on Radio 2, Eastenders, BBC London, Manchester and other local BBC radio, UCB, Premier, TBN, London Live and BBC Bitesize programmes.
