VOCAL & CREATIVE COACHING
TAKING YOU TO THE NEXT LEVEL
I’ve been teaching for over 20 years and I LOVE seeing singers find their voice. Those moments when it all clicks are the reason I teach; I love seeing people grow in confidence, develop their artistry, improve their sound and perform confidently and meaningfully.
What to expect
In our first lesson, we'll talk about what you want to work on, achieve, or any areas of your voice you feel uncomfortable about. (We can also do this on a pre-lesson call.)
We'll do a 'vocal assessment' and most people through that process have one, two or multiple "a-ha!" moments.
We'll work on a song of your choice. I love exercises but you only truly know what is happening vocally when you work on a song.
At the end of our lesson, I will send you a link to a dropbox folder with the video and audio recordings of the lesson for you to practice with.
I can give you ideas of songs that will suit you an challenge you if you need inspiration!

It doesn't matter what stage of singing you are at; from enthusiastic amateur to professional, my goal is to help you improve and for you to enjoy your voice.

It all takes practice...
It’s amazing what 10 to 15 minutes practice a day can do. We all have busy lives, so i’ve put together a vocal exercise library to make it easy for you to give your voice a daily work out. The more time you put in the better the results, but if time is a problem for you then a regular 10 minute ‘HIIT’ vocal workout will work wonders!
SONGWRITING & CREATIVE COACHING
I’ve written hundreds of songs, released solo 4 EPs and one solo album, as well as writing for music libraries, releasing albums on other projects and co-writing with a number of other people. As an independent artist myself, I can help you move forward in your career by sharing my knowledge and experience, and coming up with a creative plan for you.
With me, you can:
Work on improving lyrics, rhyme, metaphor and subject matter
Find out how melodic phrasing can transform a lyric from 50 -100%
Learn about chord structures, inversions and other chord extensions to make your song more interesting
Work on set assignments to help the creative juices flow
Creative coaching - what are you doing with your songs and how can we take your art to the next level?
I can also put you in touch with producers, mixing engineers, videographers and other online resources to help you make and promote your songs.

What you will need for online lessons
- For online lessons, you need a computer, laptop or iPad set up at the right height, preferably near the router at home for the best WiFi service.
- Plug in some headphones.
- Either use the laptop/iPad mic or if you are more advanced, use a condenser microphone. I can help you set this up if you need.
- You may also need a separate device, eg phone or iPad to play the backing tracks. On zoom we can also use the share function, which works well for using backing tracks on YouTube or other streaming service.
- To make the most of our lesson, you’ll need to make notes, and the best way to do this is on the sheet music/lyric sheet you are using. So either
- print it off in advance or
- have it on another device and take notes on a separate note pad or
- use the edit /pencil function on your device’s PDF viewer.
